Signing up
There are two ways — pick either:
- Email. On the “Sign up” page, enter your address. You'll get an email with a button and a code — click the button or enter the code on the sign-in page.
- Google or Facebook. On the sign-in page, click “Sign in with Google” or “Continue with Facebook”. If there is no dashboard for that email yet, one is created automatically.
After your first sign-in, the dashboard asks for your store name and storefront address — see Your first store.
If you enter an email on the sign-in page that has no dashboard, you'll still get an email — explaining that there is no dashboard and offering a “Create an account” button. This way a typo in your address won't silently create a second dashboard.
Signing in with an email code
- Enter your email on the sign-in page and click “Sign in with email”.
- Open the email: click “Sign in” or enter the
XXXX-XXXXcode on the sign-in page.
The code and the link last 30 minutes and work once. If you requested several emails, any of them works until its 30 minutes are up.
Email is the backup route and can't be turned off: if another sign-in method is unavailable, an email gets you back into the dashboard.
Signing in with Google and Facebook
Connect and disconnect them under Settings → Sign-in & security. Under each connected method you can see the email of that Google or Facebook account.
Signed up with email and now want to use Google? Sign in with the email code, open “Sign-in & security” and click “Connect” next to Google. If you first click “Sign in with Google” on the sign-in page, the dashboard will say this email is already registered with another method — that's expected; connect Google from settings.
You get an email about every newly connected method. If you didn't connect anything, disconnect that method under “Sign-in & security” and write to us: someone had access to your dashboard.
Passkeys
A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, Face ID or your device's PIN — no email needed.
- Open Settings → Sign-in & security → Passkeys.
- Click “Add a passkey” and confirm on your device.
- Next time, click “Sign in with a passkey” on the sign-in page.
A passkey is safer than a code: it can't be entered on a fake site, because the browser ties the passkey to the Poleso address. You can add a passkey on each device and remove them in the same section. Lost your phone — sign in with email.
Team
Team members sign in the same way — with the email their invitation was sent to. Everyone sets up their own sign-in methods — it doesn't affect others on the team. How to invite someone — see Team.
If you can't sign in
- The email didn't arrive. Check Spam and Promotions, and make sure there's no typo in the address. Wait a minute and request a new one.
- “This sign-in link has already been used or has expired.” More than 30 minutes have passed or you already used it. Request a new email.
- “That code did not work.” Check that the code isn't from an email older than 30 minutes and that there's no typo. The simplest is to use the code from the latest email.
- “This email is already registered with another sign-in method.” Sign in with the email code and connect Google or Facebook under “Sign-in & security”.
- “This account is already linked to another user.” This Google or Facebook account is connected to a different dashboard. Sign in to that dashboard, disconnect the method there, then connect it here.
