Getting started
Products → “Add product”. The first question of the form is the product type:
- Single product — one price and one stock;
- With variants — sizes, colours, volumes: each variant has its own stock and price.
You can switch the type until you save. Next time the form suggests the type you chose last.
On the FREE plan a store can have up to 50 products; on Plus and Pro — unlimited.
Basic information
- Name — how buyers see the product.
- Link — the product page address:
poleso.com/your-store/link. It's filled in from the name automatically, and you can change it. - Description — sizes, materials, care.
- Category — pick an existing one or type a new one and press Enter. Categories are used for storefront navigation.
- Tags — words you can build a collection from in storefront navigation (the “Collection (by tag)” button); end each tag with Enter or a comma.
Price and cost
- Base price — the price for the buyer. Until a price is set, the storefront shows “Ask for price” instead of an amount.
- Cost — what the product costs you. Buyers don't see it. If materials are linked to the product, the dashboard calculates the cost from them, and you can adjust the amount.
For a product with variants, the price is set in the “Variants” section — see below.
Photos
- Add photos with the button, paste a screenshot (Ctrl+V) or paste an image link.
- You can crop a photo before uploading.
- The first photo is the main one: it's shown in the catalog and in the cart.
- For a product with variants you can upload separate photos and choose them for specific variants in the table.
Variants
A “With variants” product gets a “Variants” section:
- Add an attribute: a name (for example, “Size”) and values —
S, M, L. End each value with a comma or Enter. - If needed, set a markup for a value:
XXL +100. Markups add up: “Black +50” and “XXL +100” give the “Black / XXL” variant +150 on top of the base price. - Add a second attribute if needed (“Colour”).
- Below, the variants table builds itself: every combination (“S / Black”) with its own price, stock and photo. You can change any variant's price by hand.
One button at the bottom of the page saves the product — “Create product” or “Save product”.
Adding variants later. The table doesn't remove saved variants: you can add a new value or attribute, and the new combinations are simply added.
A single product can be made variable after saving too — with “Add variants” on the product card. In the table, choose which variant receives the existing stock: old orders go there too (cancelling one returns the item to exactly that variant), as do buyers' carts and people waiting for the product. That variant is marked “Inherited stock” and can't be deleted.
The other way round — from variants back to single — isn't possible: it would destroy the variants together with their stock.
Stock
An empty stock field means ∞ — quantity isn't tracked and the product is always available. Enter a number to track it. More in Stock.
Materials
Optional. If the product is made from materials (a T-shirt + print), link them — then stock is calculated from the materials warehouse. See Materials and packaging.
Packaging and shipping
- Box — pick packaging from the warehouse or enter dimensions by hand (length, width, height) and the parcel weight. This goes into the Nova Poshta waybill — the delivery price depends on it.
- Shipment description for Nova Poshta — for example, “Clothing” or “Souvenirs”; it goes into the waybill.
- Max quantity per order — how many pieces a buyer can take at once.
- Pin the product in the storefront — the product stays at the start of the catalog.
After saving
The dashboard shows “Product added” with “Add another” and “All products”.
In the product list every product has a menu (on a phone — press and hold the row): “Copy link” to the product page — send it to a buyer or put it in your bio; “Mark as out of stock” — the product stays on the storefront but can't be bought, and its stock doesn't change; archive or delete (see Product order, archive and deletion).
