What you need
Connected Instagram. If you have several accounts, the import button shows which one it imports from.
How to start
- Products → “Import from Instagram”.
- Choose what to do with your posts:
- Choose manually — show the list and pick the posts you want;
- Add the latest 500 — without reviewing;
- Add all posts — may take a few minutes.
- The import runs in the background. You can keep working or even close the dashboard — products appear in the catalog by themselves.
The top of the Products page shows progress: “Importing from Instagram: 37 of 120”. You can pause and resume it, or cancel.
Already imported posts are skipped automatically, so you can run the import again — there'll be no duplicates. At the end the dashboard tells you how many were added and how many skipped.
What a product gets
- Photo — the post's image (for reels — the cover).
- Name, description and tags — the dashboard works them out from the photo and caption. If that fails, the name comes from the caption's first line and the description is the whole caption.
- Price — from the caption (“450 UAH”, “price 450”).
- Sizes or colours — if the caption lists several sizes, the product is created with variants. The base price is the lowest of the variants; the difference for the rest becomes a markup.
- Stock — “∞”: at import time it's unknown how much you have.
- Link to the post — the product appears in “Products in this post” in Comments, and you can send a cart straight from a comment under that post.
Review the result. Recognition is a suggestion, not a guarantee: check names, prices and sizes, especially in posts whose caption covers several products.
Products without a price
If no price was found in the caption, the product is still created, but on the storefront it shows “Ask for price” instead of an amount. Such products are collected in the “No price” tab on the Products page: there you can enter prices in a table, set one price for all selected (“Apply to all”) and click “Save and publish”.
Stock after import
Sizes arrive untracked — the “N sizes not tracked” badge on the product card. If you want to track them:
- enter quantities in the “Stock” tab, or
- link materials — the badge leads to a bulk-linking page with name-based suggestions.
Limits
- Plan limit. On FREE — up to 50 products. Posts beyond the limit aren't imported, and the dashboard says so.
- Errors in individual posts (couldn't fetch a post or save its photo) don't stop the import — the rest are added, and the dashboard lists the problem posts at the end.
